The sun's in my hair and I got dirt in my shoes...

BUT finally our first crop of sweet corn has been planted. A little later then we hoped but for sure all danger of frost has passed! Now we just gotta keep an eye on those forest critters and protect the harvest at all costs. The deer had a field day last year just as the corn started to tassel, those little buggers! After about a week of "open buffet" we deployed some ivory soap, a super loud radio (talk station) and of course our faithful bug zapper... success! This year we'll be ready!
