Cherry picking at it's finest! This year's pickers were Farmer Dave, Little Sawyer, me and the Master Farmer Dad... We picked both Sweet Red Cherries and Yellow Cherries. The trees were huge and loaded with awesome berries. We picked a total of 80 lbs in about 1.5 hrs. Phew! Everywhere we looked were cherries, cherries and cherries. The red cherries are a German variety, Heidelfingen and the yellow are Stark Gold. FYI FUN FACT: Yellow cherries are used to make maraschino cherries. They are pitted, died and bottled. YUM!
