Our first seeds of the season have been started. Farmer Dave pushed away some of clutter in the greenhouse and made room for some new babies. Our tomato varieties this year are: Roma, Sweet Baby Girl Cherry & Gurney Girl. We're not going to put as many in the ground this year but are planning to pot some in terracotta pots and we picked up a dozen hanging baskets that we'll be offering for sale at the market too.
Also, we've slimmed down our pepper selection and have planted only red and green bell boy. We still have some hot peppers from last year drying in the barn that we don't know what to do with. Whoa! Those suckers are so hot, nobody wants to touch them, even the critters stayed away.
It's going to get kinda chilly here this week but I think everyone will stay warm enough in the greenhouse (it gets nice and toasty in there during the day). Bummer.... spring was here, for a second... I'm sure it will be back soon.
