We placed our order yesterday for Strawberry Plants, Asparagus and Raspberries! It’s a pretty big order for us and we’re expecting delivery on March 28th. We ordered 500 strawberry plants (250 Seascape & 250 Earliglow), 50 Heritage Raspberries & 50 Jersey Supreme Asparagus. P-H-E-W that’s going to be one busy weekend to get all those things in the ground quickly. We’re hopeful the weather cooperates otherwise it’s going to be a rough road. Farmer Dave tilled last fall so the strawberry patch should take one quick “once-over” and I think we’re good to go. The bad news is that the golf cart needs to head into the shop, we broke down late last season, so it looks like we’re going to have to WALK it out the first few weeks of this year! I’m not 100% sure where the asparagus is going to go, we already put some in the ground last fall by the wooded perimeter, but I think there may be some more room over there. We have wild raspberries happening but the plan is to slowly move those out as we get our new plants in, 50 plants should give us at least 3 more rows of organized raspberries. Hopefully spring shows up soon!
